Promoting: Sustainability - Education - Safety

The Cody Ice Climbing Festival prides itself in promoting the education of ice climbers from around the world. From teaching ice climbing technique, to leave no trace stewardship the Cody Ice Fest seeks to strengthen the community of ice climbers in the fundamentals and philosophy of modern alpinism.

Ice climbing in Cody Wyoming offers some of the boldest and most rugged climbing in the lower 48 states. In this cathedral of red mountains and cascading ice climbs we have the opportunity to forge a festival that teaches and shares the passion and values of ice climbing with individuals from around the world with diverse backgrounds and abilities in one of the most exciting venues on the planet. Cody is truly a special place and now it’s time for a truly special festival to call Cody Wyoming home.  - Festival Director Ari Novak
